Standards and scope

We aim for the public GigaChords website to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and to satisfy the applicable Level AA requirements of Israeli Standard 5568. This statement covers the website at gigachords.com; third-party destinations such as app-store pages have their own accessibility responsibilities.

Accessibility is part of the default website. Visitors do not need to open an accessibility menu for keyboard access, screen-reader semantics, contrast, text resizing, or right-to-left content. Because the visual design includes optional ambient movement, a clearly labeled “Pause animations” control is also available and its setting is remembered on the device.

Accessibility measures

• Semantic page landmarks, logical headings, descriptive page titles, and a localized skip-to-content link.
• Keyboard operation with visible focus indicators, focus containment and Escape dismissal for the launch dialog, and no keyboard traps.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images, decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology, and labeled form fields and status messages.
• Responsive reflow, browser zoom and text resizing without disabling magnification, plus robust wrapping for long text and email addresses.
• Color contrast designed for Level AA, underlined links in reading content, stronger user-contrast styling, and Windows forced-colors support.
• Automatic support for the device’s reduced-motion preference, together with the site-wide animation pause control.
• Declared page language and direction, including a full Hebrew right-to-left experience and left-to-right isolation for technical terms where needed.
• No audio starts automatically. The optional sound experience starts only after a visitor activates its labeled control.

Testing and assessment

We review shared templates and representative English and Hebrew routes with automated accessibility checks, keyboard-only navigation, focus and dialog checks, responsive reflow, zoom, reduced-motion, high-contrast, and right-to-left checks. Accessibility is also protected by release tests for shared landmarks, labels, table semantics, preference controls, and this statement.

This is a current self-assessment, not an independent certification. Automated tools cannot identify every barrier, so reports from people using assistive technology remain an important part of our process.

Compatibility

The website is intended to work with current versions of major browsers, keyboard navigation, browser zoom, operating-system contrast and motion settings, and commonly used screen readers. Very old browsers or custom browser extensions may present the site differently.

Known limitations

We are not aware of a blocking accessibility issue in the website following the review dated above. Links to Google Play and other third-party services leave the GigaChords website, so we cannot control the accessibility of those external pages. If a barrier is found, we will assess it and prioritize a practical correction.
